Everything you need to get started with Otta.

What is Otta?

Otta is an AI travel assistant that organizes your trip bookings and keeps your group on the same page. Talk to Otta on WhatsApp, iMessage, or in the app — it understands booking emails, links, screenshots, and PDFs.

Getting Started

1. Sign in

Download the app and sign in with Google or Apple. Your account works across the app and any messaging channel you connect.

2. Create a trip

Tell Otta to create a trip — give it a name, destination, and dates. You can do this in the app or by messaging Otta on WhatsApp or iMessage.

3. Add your bookings

Forward booking confirmation emails to hi@mail.otta.travel, share a booking link, send a screenshot, or upload a PDF. Otta extracts the details automatically — flights, hotels, activities, transfers, and more.

4. Invite your group

Share your trip link with friends. They can join from the app or the web — everyone sees the same plan.

Adding Bookings

Otta supports multiple ways to add bookings to your trip:

  • Forward an email — Send booking confirmations to hi@mail.otta.travel. Otta reads the email and extracts everything.
  • Share a link — Paste a booking URL from Airbnb, Booking.com, airline sites, etc. Otta fetches and parses the page.
  • Send a screenshot — Take a photo of a confirmation and send it via WhatsApp or the app. Otta reads the image.
  • Upload a PDF — Share a PDF confirmation or e-ticket directly in chat.
  • Just tell it — Type the details and ask Otta to add a booking manually.

Messaging Channels

Otta works across multiple channels. Your conversations and trip data stay in sync no matter where you message from.

  • WhatsApp — Message Otta directly or add it to a group chat with your travel crew.
  • iMessage — Text Otta like any other contact.
  • In-app chat — Chat with Otta right inside the app, with support for voice messages and file uploads.

Managing Your Trip

  • Edit bookings — Ask Otta to update details, or edit directly in the app.
  • Remove items — Tell Otta to remove a booking, or swipe to delete in the app.
  • Search flights — Ask Otta to search for flights between cities and dates.

Account & Privacy

  • Delete your account — Go to Profile in the app and tap Delete Account. There is a 30-day grace period to restore it.
